Through my studies in Political Science, I have developed strong writing and public speaking skills through extensive academic writing, presentations and discussions. This experience has given me a structured and analytical approach to language, which I bring into my lessons.
Having also had to learn several foreign languages throughout my studies, as well as living in countries where I had to learn and use the local language, I have experienced first-hand what makes language learning effective, and what can make it unnecessarily difficult. I have therefore developed a good understanding of the different methods and strategies that can help someone make real, lasting progress.
My approach is practical and personalised. Rather than focusing only on textbook vocabulary or grammar, I aim to help students build a vocabulary that is genuinely useful for their everyday needs and relevant to the situations they are likely to encounter? whether for travel, studies, work or everyday conversations.
I adapt my lessons to each student’s level, objectives and interests, while creating a supportive environment where they can gradually gain confidence in both speaking and writing.
I would be delighted to share the techniques and experience I have acquired through my own language-learning journey and help students find an approach that works for them.
