I am an experienced tutor and teacher with a postgraduate degree in Primary Teaching. This qualifies me to teach any National Curriculum subject up to the third year of secondary school (end of Key Stage 3). My teaching experience has taught me how to give constructive feedback, how to break subjects down into manageable chunks, and it has given me lots of patience! I love seeing people understand concepts with which they previously struggled - this is why I do the job that I do.

A lesson with me looks like this:
- I assess what you know and what you want to know. Many tutors skip this step and waste time teaching you what you already know. Not me!
- I give you a short, interactive teaching input on the topic.
- Then, we look at an example together and then try one together. When you feel comfortable, you try some on your own.
- We address mistakes and learn from them. Incorrect answers can be very useful - they tell us exactly where the problem lies.
- Next, we go over any final questions and do a summarising activity (a 'plenary') to help the knowledge sink in for good.
- Finally, we also discuss expectations for next time. If you like, I can give you an exercise to complete for the next time.

I am a kind, patient teacher and tutor with great attention to detail. I am an organised person with a bank of teaching exercises and textbooks behind me. I am also happy to look over your resources/homework with you. I look forward to meeting and tutoring you!
