Yana Korobkina

Hi! I’m a Chemistry and Biology teacher and tutor with experience working with students at very different levels, from those who want to go beyond the school curriculum to those who feel they have completely lost the plot somewhere along the way.
I specialise in Pre-GCSE, GCSE and A-Level Chemistry and Biology, with extensive experience teaching the Edexcel and AQA specifications. My students have achieved A, A* and B grades, with lessons tailored to each student’s individual goals, level and learning style.

My lessons are a zero-judgement zone. I don’t expect every student to arrive with the same background, confidence or knowledge. My job is to figure out where you are now, identify what is getting in the way, and help you move forward from there.
I aim to make Chemistry and Biology not just subjects you memorise for an exam, but subjects you actually understand. We’ll focus on the reasoning behind the science, practise applying knowledge to unfamiliar problems, and develop the confidence to tackle difficult questions independently.
