I achieved 6 A* in my A-Level. From the years of tutoring students from various backgrounds, I am sure that students can achieve a decent mark if they are willing to actively learn things from me. I deliver one-to-one online tutorials. I will always start from reviewing the previous tutorial. Then I will listen to students'requirements or feedback, e.g. test results, and then design today's tutorial. I will first give a brief but essential introduction to today's tutorial, then go through key points. I will always give detailed explanation and derivation for all points, sometimes including out-of-scope extra points. I will give a 5-minute break every 40 minutes. I will give a small summary before break and a small recap after break. After explaining the points of the day, I will first work through one or two examples with any essential detail, then give the students some hand-picked, exam-style problems to solve by themselves. When they encounter difficulties, I will first give some hints one by one, then I will work out the problems with the students together. I will then give some extra questions to the students to ensure that they have the ability to work out the exam-style questions of today's schedule on their own. Finally I will give a brief yet detailed and dedicated review and summary of today's tutorial, as well as the advantages and disadvantages shown by the students today, to the students. I will also listen from the students for any feedback they would like to give me for the tutorial. As an online tutorial, I will try me best to make sure the student is engaging. I will also contact the parents if required.
