When I teach, I aim to engage - I believe the best way to learn is to find what you're learning about interesting!
This means I often provide my own materials, designed to be fun and to explain the same old ideas from a slightly different point of view to help make those important connections you need to learn. I don't want lessons to turn into lectures, and encourage a back-and-forth with my students so that they can feel comfortable to share ideas and ask for help when something isn't quite clicking.
My lessons tend to run for an average of an hour, but I can do longer upon request, particularly if there is a certain project, deadline or focus at hand. I design my lessons to complement and run parallel to the teaching you are also experiencing in the classroom, reinforcing those important pieces of information you need to learn to pass your exams with flying colors.
Nearer exam seasons, I can also offer support for exam technique and revision strategies. In Biology, I have a strong exam track record (with grades of 9 at GCSE and A* at A level), so would be more than happy to pass along the tips and tricks that helped me nail my exams!
I combine a wealth of teaching experience to produce quality lessons tailored and structured to you - I was a tutor for 2 years whilst studying at university, gained a teaching qualification whilst working in Austria and am ready to help support your learning as soon as I can!
