Hello, I am Carol from Hong Kong and live in Shanghai currently. I was an exchanged student and was living in Japan in , I joined Germany Working Holiday Scheme and lived in NRW for 1 year. I am a native speaker of Cantonese and have have 6-year teaching experience. My students include the adults and children all over the world for all purposes. In 2020, I got the qualification of Senior Chinese teacher, which issued by International Profession Certification Association. In 2021, I attained Grade B in Certificate of Cantonese Read-Aloud Test, which organised by The Linguistic Society of Hong Kong. In March 2022, I started teaching 35 staff in NOKIA (Shanghai headquarter). I have taught over 100 students (both classes and 1 to 1) until now. I am familiar with Hong Kong culture and willing to share with you!
*Teaching Hong Kong Cantonese through textbooks published in Hong Kong.
*For elementary level, it includes self-introduction, shopping, transportation, weather, and food etc. The chapters are relatively short, which can usually be completed in 1 lesson (50 minutes), and it may take 2 lessons for intermediate and advanced levels.
*Exercises will be given after each lesson
After completing the course, you should be able to:
1. Mastering the Cantonese intonation system (initials, finals, and tones) which released by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education in 1960.
2. Learning basic grammar (conjunctions, pre/middle/suffix complements, modal auxiliary words, etc.), colloquial Cantonese vocabularies and sentences.
3. Knowing about Hong Kong culture
