As a tutor, I create a calm, supportive environment where students feel safe to express themselves and learn at their own pace. I adapt my teaching to suit each individual, including those with Special Educational Needs, using clear explanations and breaking topics into manageable steps.

I’ve taught both young children – focusing on core maths and literacy skills – and A-level students in Philosophy and Religious Studies. I tailor lessons to each learner’s age, ability, and style, aiming to keep things accessible and engaging.

Confidence-building is central to my approach. I encourage questions, learning from mistakes, and celebrating small wins to help students feel motivated and capable.

Though I’m still gaining experience with SEN students, I actively develop my practice, using tools like visual aids, hands-on tasks, and structured routines to support diverse needs.

Above all, I want learning to feel positive and rewarding, helping every student grow in knowledge, confidence, and independence.
