Content - a complete coverage of GCSE or A-level content from the specification of a given exam board. The lessons are structured to be detailed but not overbearing, if a topic takes more time than an hour then it will be carried over to the next session.
Format - I usually teach via Google Meet, however any video software that both myself and the student have access to works, as I use live notes to explain concepts. Whether a student wants to take their own notes during a session is up to them, but I calculator or piece of paper nearby would come in handy.
Dynamic - I encourage engagement first and foremost, asking questions about the given topic and checking in for understanding. I try to build a casual and friendly atmosphere, where misunderstandings or exploration of the topic beyond the specification are always welcome!
About myself - I’ve been tutoring GCSE and KS3 science for two years. I have a deep appreciation for all things science, especially biochemistry, and jump at the chance to be able to talk about it.
