Will Yorke

I lived and worked in China for other twenty years. I originally went to China for a year as an overseas student when I studied Chinese at a UK University. After I graduated in the UK I went back to China to pursue my studies of the language and culture and made a life for myself there. I have a wide range of work experience in China and set up my own business, which is still running there. I can tailor my lessons to the needs of the student, and the students I teach include GCSE, A Level and HSK students along with students preparing to go to China to work. My business experience and knowledge of the Chinese legal system also means I am a useful resource for people looking to do business in China.
My lessons are paced to meet the needs of the student, but I like to make sure the lessons are full and exciting. Learning about Chinese culture and history is an important part of learning the language and I like to incorporate aspects of this into the classes. I like to deconstruct the language to make it accessible and to reveal the logic and system behind it, enabling students to understand the language more easily, and to learn it quickly.
