I bring several years of experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level students in Maths and Chemistry, supporting a range of abilities and helping students reach their academic goals. My academic background – achieving AAA in Biology, Chemistry and Maths – reflects a strong understanding of the subjects I teach, and as a current medical student at the University of Cambridge, I know first-hand what is required to succeed at the highest level. I approach tutoring with a deep passion for science and education, using personalised, evidence-based strategies to make learning both effective and engaging. I focus not only on delivering content clearly and concisely but also on developing students’ problem-solving skills, exam technique, and confidence. My teaching style is flexible and responsive to individual needs. A typical session begins with an overview or teaching of the topic, followed by guided exam practice and time dedicated to reviewing any specific problems or questions the student has encountered during the week. However, I always adapt the structure depending on the student’s preferred learning style and areas for development. I also offer support for medical school entrance preparation – having successfully navigated the process myself. My sessions aim to be focused, supportive, and motivating, equipping students with the tools to think independently and approach exams with confidence. I take pride in building strong rapport with students and creating a productive environment that balances academic rigour with encouragement.
