My lessons run one-to-one, either online or in person, and are shaped entirely around where you are right now rather than a fixed syllabus you have to keep pace with. We usually start with a short, low-pressure check of what feels solid and what doesn't, so I know exactly where to focus rather than re-teaching things you already understand.
I teach maths from secondary level through to A-Level, with a particular strength in algebra and the topics that build on it — equations, functions, inequalities, quadratics and beyond. My background is in electrical and electronic engineering, and I'm currently completing an MSc in Applied Artificial Intelligence, so I come at maths from the angle of someone who has genuinely used it, not just someone who memorised it to pass exams. That tends to make abstract topics feel a lot more concrete once we connect them to something real.
I've spent years as a Teaching Assistant, both at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology and currently at the University of Greenwich, explaining technical material to students meeting it for the first time. What that's taught me is that most maths struggles aren't about ability — they're about the explanation not yet matching how a particular student thinks. So I don't stick to one script. If seeing a pattern helps you more than memorising a rule, we'll work that way; if you need the rule first and the "why" to follow, we'll do that instead.
Lessons are patient, exam-focused when needed, and built around plenty of worked examples — with space to keep asking "why" until it actually sticks, not just until you can repeat the steps back.
