Hi! I’m a friendly and approachable tutor offering GCSE Maths and Biology support.

I believe tutoring should be a comfortable space where students should not be afraid to ask questions, make mistakes and take their time to properly understand a topic. My aim is to help students build both their knowledge and confidence, rather than simply memorising information.

Before starting, I get to know the student and understand which topics they feel confident with and which areas they find more challenging. I can then tailor each lesson to their individual needs and goals.

My lessons are usually a mixture of explaining topics, working through examples together and giving students the opportunity to practise questions themselves. I’ll also use GCSE-style exam questions to help students become familiar with how questions are worded in the exam and how to apply what they have learned.

For Maths, I’ll break problems down step by step and help students understand the methods behind the answers. For Biology, I’ll focus on making difficult topics easier to understand, remembering key information and developing the skills needed to answer exam questions effectively.

I also think it’s important to go through mistakes properly. Rather than simply correcting an answer, I’ll help students understand where they went wrong and how they can approach a similar question next time.

Whether a student needs help with a specific topic, wants to improve their grades or is preparing for their GCSE exams, I’ll work at their pace and support them throughout their learning.
