Wang Leplar

Hello! My name is Alice Wang Leplar. I am a qualified and passionate Mandarin Chinese teacher with more than 10 years of teaching experience in Singapore. I hold a Master’s degree in Education (Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) and have worked with children from many different cultural and language backgrounds.

Who I teach:
I specialise in teaching children aged 3 to 15. My lessons are designed to be fun, interactive, and age-appropriate, helping young learners build a solid foundation in Mandarin step by step.

My teaching style:

Use of stories, songs, games, and cultural activities to make lessons engaging

Focus on developing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills

Tailored lessons to suit each child’s interest, ability, and learning goals


Class format:

Online lessons (interactive and flexible)

In-person lessons (at students’ homes in Edinburgh)


I believe language learning should be enjoyable and confidence-building. My goal is to spark children’s interest in Mandarin and help them progress happily and effectively.
