I start by covering a topic on my whiteboard, showing the logic and meaning behind the topic first, then at the end od this hour I ask what the pupil wants for next weeks sessions, this ranges from another hour needed to cover the content deeper or most move on to exam style questions as this is where the marks are won in an exam. I do all my working on whiteboard and teach my way through it rather than using slides. I will set extra questions as homework if we are not able to complete them, which I am more than happy to mark before our session.
