I am a graduate from UCC with a Bachelors in English Literature, meaning I know the language with immense depth from old English to modern day. This allows me to explain the roots and epistemology of certain words which may provide my student with a deeper understanding of the language.

I also have a completed TEFL course where I learned many different approaches and techniques in regards to teaching English as a foreign language. This allows me to be confident and well skilled in my methods of interactive teaching and has given me a lot of education and experience in different resources for English grammar, vocabulary and comprehension.

Alongside my personal education, I also have a lot of experience in teaching and tutoring English. I have worked in a Polish private school to deliver online lessons for children ranging from age 5 to 12. I have also tutored children one on one in order to prepare them for English examinations. In both instances I have gotten on very well with my students and found it easy to connect and engage them with the content. This is why, moving forward, I am confident in my abilities to teach and engage.

Throughout these lessons I intend to prepare a specific lesson plan based upon the individual student's needs, as they differ with each and every child. I will include personal interests, games and quizzes in order to keep the child engaged and excited to work with me. I also like to approach the lessons in a holistic way and I favour communication and confidence over rigid accuracy. I let the child lead the way in how they would like to explore the lessons.
