I aim to provide a tailored learning experience for my students. After gauging your level, I like to ask what your specific goals are for English learning.

From there, I create a learning plan for you: some students want to focus more on grammar and writing while others want more speaking practice, and others still want to practice career-specific English elements. I also like to find out how much time students have outside of class for English study. Depending on these goals and your level, I may assign more or less writing and reading work in between tutorials. I will also provide other material such as music, television shows, social media accounts, and books to provide as much varied and fun material as possible to those who want it. If possible, I especially love to learn about about your interests so we can talk about them in English. I love to find ways to tie them into our lessons to keep you engaged and having fun while learning.

My background in Linguistics and my TEFL certificate make me more than comfortable explaining complex grammatical concepts in easy-to-understand ways, and I always make sure my students understand how our content is connected to their own learning goals and life experiences.
