My lessons focus on understanding the nitty gritty of the English language through the medium of music, TV and generall culture. I will help students understand concepts of the English language that they may not already be familiar with and will provide clear and concise explanations in the aim of clearing up any doubts. I will also extend learning with the teaching of vocabulary and grammar.

With my experience of language, I will teach my lessons with language variation in mind, that is to say, I will not teach a rigid and prescriptive type of English. I am from the UK, however, if the student has a preference for a variation of English (such as from the USA or Australia), I will accomadate for this variation. My experience allows me to understand differences in vocabulary, phrasing and grammar amongst a myriad of English variations and so I will be able to provide the student with whatever type of English they are interested in learning.

Finally, I will provide the student with a google doc, that both they and I can access, to leave them with any notes that may have been of use to them in the lesson. This will allow them to go over what was covered in the lesson in their own time, or to use it as a way to recall vocabulary or grammar rules after the lesson has concluded. This will be useful for them to keep on top of each topic that has been covered whenever necessary.
