I am a Psychology graduate with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for helping students understand and enjoy Psychology. Having studied Psychology at A-level myself before completing my undergraduate degree, I understand the challenges students can face with the subject, from remembering key theories and studies to applying knowledge effectively in exam questions. I am now doing a masters in Psychology as well to further my understanding. I have practical experience supporting children in a primary school, where I assisted with classroom activities, provided one-to-one support, helped pupils with reading and communication, and supported children with SEND. This experience has developed my patience, communication skills and ability to adapt my approach to different learning needs. I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex psychological concepts into simple, manageable explanations and using real-life examples to make topics easier to understand and remember. I can also help students develop effective revision strategies, improve essay structure and understand how to apply psychological research and theories to exam questions. This includes practice exam questions, mind maps and Cornell note taking. I am friendly, approachable, reliable and patient, and I would tailor each session to the student's individual goals and areas for improvement. My aim is not only to improve academic performance but also to help students become more confident and independent in their Psychology studies.
