My lessons are designed to be supportive, structured and tailored to the individual student. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I adapt my teaching depending on the student’s strengths, areas for improvement and preferred way of learning. I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through topics they may initially find difficult.
For both A-level Psychology and English Literature, I combine clear, step-by-step explanations with active practice. Lessons can focus on understanding course content, improving essay writing, working through exam questions, developing exam technique or revising specific topics depending on what the student needs most. I also encourage students to understand why an answer is effective rather than simply memorising information, helping them become more confident and independent in their studies.
Having recently achieved A*s in both A-level Psychology and English Literature, I have first-hand experience of the demands of these subjects and the techniques required to perform well in them. I am now studying Psychology with Clinical and Cognitive Neuroscience at Royal Holloway, University of London, which allows me to bring my continued academic interest in psychology into my teaching.
Above all, I am patient, approachable and organised. I want my students to feel that lessons are a space where they can make mistakes, ask questions freely and gradually build both their knowledge and confidence. Whether a student is aiming for a particular grade, struggling with a specific area, or looking to push themselves further, I will adapt our lessons to help them work towards their individual goals.
