About me

I am a Qualified Primary School teacher with over 7+ years of teaching & tutoring experience. I am qualified on the PGCE SCITT 3-7 years Teaching Programme, and have worked in Key Stage Two. I am also trained on the National Tutoring Programme, which I have been actively engaged in for the last 3 years both privately & professionally.

I am a Qualified Primary School teacher with over 7+ years of teaching & tutoring experience. I am qualified on the PGCE SCITT 3-7 years Teaching Programme, and have worked in Key Stage Two. I am also trained on the National Tutoring Programme, which I have been actively engaged in for the last 3 years both privately & professionally.

After taking a year-long sabbatical in the Middle East, where I led Art workshops for children aged 5 -12, I returned to the UK with an even greater passion for one-to-one tutoring.

My unique teaching steps:
- I thoroughly enjoy getting to know a child, their likes, dislikes, friendships etc
- I love helping children develop both academically and personally
- I take great pride in being able to create lessons & resources that are specifically tailored to the child's needs.

One-to-one tutoring is my favourite part of teaching, and there's nothing more rewarding than seeing a child grow in confidence and achieve their potential

We are so grateful to have Uzma as our children's home tutor. She has been incredibly patient and supportive with both of my kids. Uzma brings a calm positive energy to every session and it is quite obvious how much thought and care she puts into her teaching. My kids have shown noticeable progress since learning with her. We truly appreciate her dedication and consistency and feel very lucky to have her as part of the children's learning journey.

My daughter has been having tutoring with Uzma for some time now, Uzma is professional and extremely friendly. My daughter has special educational needs and finds it difficult to engage with tasks and interact with people, Uzma first focused on building a good relationship with her and finding out what she enjoys, then structures sessions around my daughter’s needs. Uzma is very knowledgeable, communicative and has a very calm and supportive approach. since working with her, my daughter has gained more confidence with her maths and spelling, she is brilliant with her and my daughter really enjoys her sessions. I’m looking forward to seeing my daughters progression and I highly recommend Uzma :-)
