So, generally the needs of the student are discussed prior to the first lesson, and we discuss what plan we can implement. I try to keep the student in the loop as much as I can so that the lesson is tailored specifically to their needs. So, generally the needs of the student are discussed prior to the first lesson, and we discuss what plan we can implement. I try to keep the student in the loop as much as I can so that the lesson is tailored specifically to their needs. Whichever topic we are covering in the next lesson, I let the student know beforehand, and create a slideshow containing exam-style questions on that topic. I start off by showing them how it works, explaining key concepts, rules and exceptions etc., then allowing them to practice with some pre-made questions.
