I offer both English Literature and English Language tutorials.

English as a first language:
For GCSE and A-Level students studying English Literature or Language, my tutorials are tailored to the specific exam specification that they are working under. The tutorials encourage students to think critically about texts and evaluate contextual information about the author. This is supported by in-depth linguistic, literary and structural analysis. The individual skills and techniques that go into an essay are taught separately and then combined to form a cohesive and comprehensive whole.

English as a second language:
My language lessons are based off the model provided by the Trinity CerTESOL training course and I can coach students of any age, from A1 to C2 ability. I prioritise dynamic leaning lessons and a scaffolded approach to linguistic retention. I encourage my students to use platforms like Quizlet for memory recall and divide the tutorial time equally between the 4 language skills: speaking, reading, writing and listening.
