Umer Naseer Naseer

I am a qualified Computer Science teacher with a PGCE and QTS in Computing, with experience teaching students at different levels and abilities. I am passionate about making Computer Science clear, practical and enjoyable, particularly for students who may initially find programming or computational concepts challenging.

My lessons are structured around each student’s individual needs and goals. I usually begin by identifying areas where the student needs support, then explain concepts step by step using clear examples and practical activities. Students are encouraged to practise throughout the lesson, ask questions and develop their own solutions rather than simply memorising answers.

I can support students with programming, algorithms, computational thinking, problem-solving, computer systems and other key Computer Science topics, as well as coursework and exam preparation.

My teaching approach is patient, supportive and interactive. I regularly check understanding and adapt the pace of the lesson when necessary. For programming lessons, I use practical coding exercises to help students understand not only how code works, but also how to approach problems logically, debug errors and become more independent programmers.
