Tyler Cederlind

Welcome! My science lessons are always tailored to the individual person. We are all different and everyone learns things at a different speed and method. Our first encounter will be more of an introduction so I can get to know you better as an individual and how I can best help you. Future lessons will then be focused on your specific needs and goals as a student and/or adult learner. I have taught at the graduate, undergraduate, high and middle school levels of science. I am a science consultant helping to support K-12 schools implement their science programs across the country. I am also an instructional coach for teachers and administrators in K-12 education. Originally my career path was focused on substance abuse research at the university level before I moved into primary and secondary education. I have training in the areas of biology, chemistry and psychology, with particular education in pharmacology, psychiatry, chemistry, anthropology, and physics. I attained B.S. degrees in both Human Biology and Psychology from the University of Kansas. I worked and was trained at Wayne State University in the Department of Psychiatry. I have experience in pharmacology, neuroscience and clinical research through many years of NIDA grant-funded research. My experiences as a researcher, classroom teacher and consultant have given me a broad background in countless areas. I believe that my extensive knowledge of Science, Math and General Education instructional strategies, data analysis and statistics, curriculum development, professional development delivery have provided me with the unique skillset necessary to be your tutor.
