My Biology and Chemistry lessons are tailered towards how the individual student learns best. In the past, I have created powerpoints and gave a 20-30min lesson on the topic at hand. We then go through practice questions together to ensure the student has a solid foundation on the topic. I give the students further questions to try themselves and we work through the answers together. I also collate exam style questions to show them how this topic would be examined.
The powerpoint and questions/answers are available to students after the class.
Depending on the student, I will give a few questions for homework to complete that we go over at the beginning of the next lesson.
I like my lessons to be more informal so the student feels comfortable to ask me any questions they might have. No question is a silly question! Not too long ago, I was doing the same exams therefore I know how they feel. Extra support can be crucial for individuals at this stressful time in their lives and I strive to create a friendly environment for them to learn and excel in.
Past students I have tutored have achieved top grades in their exams and their work has improved over the years that I have helped them.
I also have straight A’s from exams at school and now study 3rd year medicine at the university of St. Andrews so I have indepth knowledge on Biology and Chemistry. Hope I can be of help to more students! :)
