Toni Planas

Hello, I'm Toni, a qualified Spanish teacher, GCSE and IB examiner, with extensive experience teaching students from Year 7 to Year 13. I am passionate about helping students develop confidence in Spanish and achieve their full potential, whether they are learning the language for the first time or preparing for important examinations.

I have experience teaching a wide range of courses, including Key Stage 3, GCSE, iGCSE, A Level and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. As a GCSE and IB examiner, I have a thorough understanding of assessment criteria, exam techniques and common student misconceptions, allowing me to help students maximise their performance and achieve their academic goals.

As a native Spanish speaker with a degree in Translation and Interpreting, I bring both linguistic expertise and a deep understanding of language acquisition to my lessons. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a translator and team leader, experiences that strengthened my communication and coaching skills.

My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style. I focus on building confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing through engaging, structured lessons that are both challenging and supportive.
