My lessons are practical, interactive and adapted to your goals. I don’t believe in using exactly the same approach with every student, because people learn languages for very different reasons. Some want to improve conversation, some need Spanish for work or travel, and others want help with grammar, exams or confidence when speaking.

A typical lesson will usually combine conversation practice with more focused work on vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation or listening, depending on what you need most. I like to explain things clearly and then give you plenty of opportunities to use them, rather than spending the whole lesson going through rules.

I’m fluent in both Spanish and English, so I can explain difficult concepts in English when useful, while gradually increasing the amount of Spanish we use as your confidence improves.

I also like to use real topics and situations rather than relying only on textbook exercises. We might discuss current events, travel, work, culture, everyday situations or subjects you are personally interested in. This makes the lessons more engaging and helps you learn vocabulary you are
