Tom Moore

I'm a cheerful and enthusiastic tutor with a first-class degree in English Literature and Italian from the University of Leeds. I've always enjoyed sharing what I know with others and love seeing something click for someone. I have a methodical approach to teaching, with plenty of useful tips and tricks for remembering vocabulary and untangling tricky or unfamiliar concepts. I also strongly believe people learn best when they're enjoying themselves, so I like to keep things entertaining and engaging!

In terms of what to expect from a session with me, we'd start by identifying the areas you'd most like to improve, and then work through these together, tailoring the lesson to suit your learning style and goals. This might involve working through a text or exam question, developing essay structure, practising exam technique, or discussing topics you find particularly difficult. I encourage you to ask lots of questions and develop your own ideas, with the aim of helping you become more confident and independent in your work.
