I take a nurturing and holistic approach to tutoring, aiming to understand my learners both academically and personally. By getting to know each child as an individual, I ensure that every session is enriching, engaging, and tailored to their needs. My goal is not only to accelerate progress but also to build confidence, enjoyment, and a genuine belief in their own strengths.

Each lesson builds carefully on prior knowledge so that understanding is secure before moving on. Sessions begin with a quick check to revisit previous learning, helping to reinforce key skills and identify any gaps. We then explore new concepts together, using clear explanations, modelling, and proven strategies I have developed through my experience as a qualified primary teacher. As children grow more confident, I gradually encourage them to become independent thinkers and problem solvers, while offering supportive guidance, targeted feedback, and structured next steps.

I have a First Class degree in Primary Education, an up-to-date DBS check, and experience teaching Years 5 and 6, giving me a strong understanding of the Kent Test, SATs expectations, and the wider curriculum. I have a proven track record of supporting pupils of all abilities to make strong progress.

Homework can be provided on request after each session to reinforce learning and give children an extra boost between lessons.
