I am new to tutoring, therefore this is an area where I will also be learning what formats and dynamics are most beneficial, however, from studying even outside of Law and exploring many different types of techniques across the years, I have a good understanding on what works best for different people.

Assessing what areas you are best and worst in, and then picking out topics that need the most work, then creating a plan and schedule which allows the student to allocate timescales to each topic, is a starting point I will usually begin with, unless the student would prefer to just focus on one or two rather than a broad spectrum of topics/subjects.

- Provide the best websites and resources to find the most accurate information; e.g. case law and reports
- Use templates to form an area to put all your notes, making it easier to access everything in one place and find what you need without using 100 different documents
- Teaching not only the knowledge needed to become a lawyer or something along this basis, but also the skills needed as a person to do this
- Understanding that each person learns quicker/slower with different techniques is important to ensuring their success, using quizzes, flash cards, mind maps, reading games etc to help broaden one’s knowledge and memory
- Even simply being someone to help you go through your notes and work, being a second set of eyes and ears from someone who has completed their Law degree, is extremely beneficial to a student wishing to excel
