My lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to your module outcomes—so you leave each session knowing exactly what to do next.
? Format (typical 60 minutes):
· 5–10 min: quick check-in + goal setting (what you’re covering this week, what’s confusing)
· 20–25 min: clear concept breakdown (I use simple diagrams, analogies, and step-by-step reasoning)
· 20–25 min: active practice (exam-style questions, problem-solving, or data interpretation)
· 5–10 min: summary + a short action plan (key takeaways, targeted practice, and revision strategy)
? What we work on:
Higher education Biology topics such as cell and molecular biology, genetics, immunology, biochemistry fundamentals, experimental design, and scientific writing (lab reports, results/discussion, figure presentation). If you bring lecture slides, past questions, or an assignment brief, we’ll use them directly.
? Teaching style & dynamics:
I keep sessions interactive—lots of “why” questions, quick checks for understanding, and guided practice rather than long lectures. I’ll help you build strong scientific explanations, not just memorise facts.
? About me:
I’m a PhD student at University of Manchester with several years of teaching assistant experience in university practical sessions, so I’m used to explaining complex biology clearly and helping students meet assessment expectations.
