I have been working in a private law firm for the past two years and have gathered essential experience in the legal world that I believe would be of use to anyone who wants a career in law, or is currently studying law at A-level or university.

While at university I achieved a 2:1 in Law, while also assisting students from lower years when they were struggling and working in the local law clinic.

My lessons will first focus on the legal content, once I am certain the student understands this, I will ask them to demonstrate that they understand using a variety of methods that would be used in a law firm, such as drafting a memorandum, drafting a legal letter to the other side, or even having them act as a solicitor explaining the law to a client. I will also use real world examples to help reinforce their learning on each topic.

This method ensures that each student understands the topic and is able to apply it appropriately.

I can cover a range of different legal areas, including: Family, Civil, Criminal, Wills and Probate, Private client, Employment, Conveyancing, and Data protection.

I am also able to cover specific legal skills that are essential in the workplace, such as legal research, drafting, and skills involving public speaking.

Upon completing a module or legal area, I will be able to give the student a test, which I will be able to mark and judge their understanding. This allows me to work out what exactly each student understands and circle back to any areas they may have struggled with.
In each lesson I will primarily focus on explaining the content using visual aids, such as powerpoints.
