Thomas Pappalardo

Hi! I'm Thomas, a neuroscience student at King’s College London with top GCSE and A-level grades in both Biology and Chemistry, and over two years of experience tutoring students in these subjects. Having recently gone through the same exams myself, I understand the challenges students face and how to overcome them, and I use that insight to help others succeed.

My lessons are structured but flexible. I tailor each session to the individual student’s needs—whether that means reinforcing school topics, breaking down complex concepts, or focusing on exam technique. I make sure to integrate review, new content, and practice into every lesson, so students feel a sense of progress and confidence each week.

A key part of my approach is helping students understand how to think like an examiner. I focus on mark schemes, common pitfalls, and question strategies to make sure students aren’t just learning the material, but also learning how to apply it in exams. Lessons are interactive and clear—I use diagrams, real-world examples, and active questioning to keep students engaged and make sure they fully grasp the topics.

Students I’ve worked with have seen real improvements in their understanding, confidence, and grades. I’m passionate about making science accessible and enjoyable, and I aim to create a positive, encouraging environment in every lesson.
