My aim is to make every student feel confident, supported and excited about Art and Design. With 25 years of teaching experience, including GCSE and A Level teaching, examining and tutoring, I understand what students need to achieve their highest potential while still developing their own creative identity.

In our lessons, I will get to know you as an individual—your interests, strengths, ambitions and the areas of Art and Design that you are most passionate about. I believe this is especially important when learning online. Building a strong relationship and understanding what inspires you allows me to create lessons that are relevant, engaging and enjoyable, rather than simply following a set programme.

I can help you develop your practical skills, creative ideas, research and experimentation, while also teaching you how to analyse artists and designers, develop concepts, evaluate your work and communicate your ideas clearly. For GCSE and A Level students, I will guide you through the assessment criteria and help you understand exactly how to strengthen your work and achieve the best possible outcomes.

For students hoping to study Art, Graphic Design, Illustration, Fashion, Architecture or another creative subject at university, I can also help you develop a strong and individual portfolio. My experience as a Graphic Designer, Art and Design teacher and examiner means I can give you practical, industry-informed advice as well as academic guidance.

Most importantly, I want you to enjoy your lessons. I believe the best work happens when students feel understood, have confidence in their ideas and are genuinely excited about what they are creating. My role is to encourage you, challenge you and give you the skills and confidence to become an independent and successful creative thinker.
