I'm a visual artist myself, due to study a painting degree at Camberwell College of Arts this autumn, after completing my foundation diploma at UAL. My aim is to help build students' confidence within art through helping them find a way of creating that they excel and identify with most, and supporting them in improving their technical abilities. Having completed my GCSE's and A-levels with top grades, even being included on the Edexcel website as an example of top performance grade material, I have a good knowledge of the mark schemes and can adjust to other exam boards to help students hit the criteria necessary to maximise their academic performance. My teaching style is highly flexible, dependent on the tutee's needs, and can range from constructive feedback and practical exercises, to including support with organisation and time management. While I strive to help students optimise their academic potential within their artwork, I particularly enjoy helping my students start building a practice that is most fulfilling to them and a portfolio that they are proud of. If you book with me, our first session will focus on getting to understand your needs and way of working (images of existing work would be very helpful), so that I can start forming a strategy for how to best support them in our lessons.
