My Japanese lessons are friendly, supportive and adapted to each student’s age, current ability and personal goals. I offer lessons for primary and secondary-school pupils and adults, from complete beginner to intermediate level.

At the beginning, I will speak with each student, or their parent where appropriate, to understand what they already know and what they would like to achieve. I will then prepare lessons at a comfortable pace, with clear explanations and plenty of opportunities to practise. Lessons can cover everyday conversation, pronunciation, greetings, numbers, useful vocabulary, grammar, hiragana, katakana, introductory kanji, reading and writing. I can also help students who want practical Japanese for travelling, communicating with Japanese people or developing their general knowledge of Japanese language and culture.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Japanese and have studied and worked in Japan. I have also used Japanese in translation, customer service and international business. These experiences have helped me understand both formal Japanese and the language used in everyday situations.

Although I am new to professional private tutoring, I have considerable experience training and supporting colleagues at work. I am patient, encouraging and able to explain information in a clear and simple way. I understand that every person learns differently, so I can use conversation practice, written exercises, visual examples, repetition and short activities depending on what helps the student most.

As a native Thai speaker with advanced Japanese and English, I personally understand the challenges of learning another language. My aim is to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and practising without pressure. I will prepare each lesson carefully and help every student build confidence, improve steadily and enjoy learning Japanese.
