Hello! My name is Taya, and I’m a Japanese teacher with over 15 years of experience working in Japanese companies.
I hold a teaching license in geography and history, and I studied Western history at university.
Currently, I’m also studying French, so I understand how it feels to learn a new language — it can be challenging but also very rewarding!
I enjoy helping students feel comfortable and confident in speaking Japanese.
In my lessons, I focus on creating a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy learning without worrying about making mistakes.
Whether you want to have free conversation, study with a textbook like Genki, or practice for a specific situation, I’ll be happy to support you.
We can also talk about Japanese culture, history, or everyday life — anything you’re interested in.
Besides teaching, I have many hobbies. I love yoga because it helps me relax and stay healthy.
I also enjoy watching Netflix and sometimes anime in my free time.
Traveling is another passion of mine — I especially love visiting different parts of Europe and experiencing their history, art, and food.
And since I’m from Osaka, I can also speak Kansai dialect! If you’re interested, I can teach you some Kansai-ben too.
I’m looking forward to meeting students from all over the world and sharing the beauty of the Japanese language and culture with you.
Let’s learn together at your own pace, and enjoy the journey of mastering Japanese.
I’m looking forward to seeing you in my lesson!
