Tasneem Abdelkader

Welcome! I'm Tasneem, a certified Arabic instructor with over five years of experience teaching Arabic to non-native speakers of all ages and backgrounds. My teaching is grounded in a communicative, learner-centered approach aligned with ACTFL proficiency standards, and I hold a TAFL-accredited certification in this methodology.

Rather than relying on rote memorization or traditional grammar-translation methods, I design task-based, interactive lessons that help students build real, practical communication skills from the very first session. Every lesson is personalized to the student's level, goals, and pace, whether they are complete beginners or looking to reach advanced fluency.

My lessons typically combine structured vocabulary and grammar building with authentic conversation practice, real-life scenarios, and cultural context, so students don't just learn the language, they learn to use it confidently. I provide continuous, constructive feedback throughout each lesson and track progress to make sure learning stays on target.

In addition to Modern Standard Arabic, I also teach Qur'an recitation with Tajweed and hold an Ijazah in the Noor Al-Bayan methodology, in both Arabic and English, for students interested in Qur'anic Arabic and reading fluency.

I currently teach on Preply, where I hold a 5-star rating, as well as with academies teaching students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. My academic foundation includes a B.Sc. from Alexandria University and a Diploma in Educational Qualification, which support my ability to explain concepts clearly while keeping lessons engaging and dynamic.
