Taruna Kohli

Native English teacher with 2+ years teaching English in an international school in South Korea. Holds a Masters in International Relations from Kings College London. I have experience teaching in a 1-1 and group setting with children and adults.

My lessons involve a lot of interactive and creative activities. Children and adults will be encouraged to be active in lessons, with a lot of theme based learning. These types of lessons allow students to use language to make connections with real life scenarios, broadening their vocabulary, managing dialogue and aiding with writing strategies.

My lessons are inspiring, interactive and interesting. We work together to ensure we focus on phonics, reading, writing and managing dialogue. It is importance to grasp the foundation of phonics first, as this is the basis of fluent reading and pronunciation. In addition, we will focus on managing dialogue as speaking is one of the most important skills when learning a new language. These skills will be useful when travelling with English being a global language.

A little bit about me…. I love a good FIFA match, travelling often to Spain where I watch my favourite team, Barcelona play. I also enjoy reading, travelling and going for meals with my friends.
