Hi! I am a 3rd year undergraduate Psychology student with a strong interest in supporting children in their learning. Having experience helping my nephew with her homework has helped me to become more comfortable and patient working with children and explain the concepts to them in a way that they can understand. I believe every child learns differently, so my lessons would be tailored to their levels and learning pace. Additionally, concepts would be broken down step by step with clear explanations. And through using an interactive approach, I would make maths more engaging and easier to understand. I understand that maths can feel intimidating, as I used to feel the same way -- constantly making mistakes and not being able to pass the tests often make you doubt your own abilities, and making you even less willing to engage with Maths, as a result creating a cycle that can be difficult to break. Therefore, I aim to help children build confidence through continuous encouragement and support, so that they would no longer have a fear of Maths and develop a more positive attitude towards the subject.
