My lessons would be very content focussed and making sure I go over every single piece of content you need to know for the specification in order. And then making sure you understand the content before moving on to exam style questions to ensure you’ve understood and reinforce the learning. I would use slides to highlight every key point there is to know, include all the content from the specification and for things that need explaining I would use a whiteboard and diagrams to help you understand it better. I have all my notes from GCSEs and know the specification inside out so I can ensure nothing will be missed and I can also teach everything in order as I know that helped keep all the information organised in my brain which made it easy to remember. I have helped friends before by teaching topics they didn’t understand and have always found they manage to remember for a long time and definitely had a better understanding of it. As a tutor I would put your weaknesses first and ensure you work on all the topics bringing your grade down in the exam and also go through full past papers with you to see where your weaknesses are so we can work on them.
