Tanisha Satish Kumar

I’m a postgraduate Psychology student at Newcastle University, studying for an MSc in Foundations in Clinical Psychology after a BA in Psychology and Economics. I’ve tutored junior students since school, and I’m now my course’s student representative. I enjoy helping people understand difficult topics and I try to explain them in plain, simple steps.
My experience gives me a good mix of skills. I presented my research as first author to staff, alumni and students, so I’m used to explaining complex ideas to different audiences and answering questions on the spot. At NIMHANS I coordinated a team of Master’s level interns and spoke with patients by phone, which taught me to listen carefully and stay calm and gentle with people who are worried. I also wrote and designed a company handbook in Canva, so I can turn dense material into clear notes and worksheets. I’ve organised a drug awareness walkathon with the Karnataka Excise Department, run its social media and coordinated the logistics, so I’m reliable and good at planning.
I’m confident teaching online through Zoom and Teams, and I’m patient, punctual and well organised. Message me to talk about what you need help with, and we can plan sessions that fit you.
