Having over 26 years of teaching experience in Primary, Secondary, and Special Schools as well as tutoring online for the past 7 years means I really am able to create, adapt and teach lessons that are able to really help each of my students to understand, learn and apply the topic being covered.
I specialise in helping students with SEN in particular. I have tutored online for the past 7 years and am also a TEFL-qualified teacher with a lot of experience in teaching English as a Foreign language.

I tailor each lesson according to each student- I believe that no two students are the same and so I always use the individual approach. Over the years, I have had the privilege to teach countless children, teenagers, and even a few adults!

I always endeavour to make my lessons engaging, challenging and progressive. I am a very enthusiastic and passionate teacher in all the topics I teach and try hard to pass this on to each student so they too can fall in love with learning!

I use the fully interactive classroom, Learncube, which is a fantastic platform for creating lessons that feel just as personal as a face-to-face lesson.

I absolutely love to teach and inspire each and every student to reach their potential!

Tammy has been a real find. Her English lessons are always very clear and well-structured, yet Tammy will always respond to the needs of the student on the day. The updates after every class are wonderful, and they really help you to feel a part of your young person’s education. Tammy has supported my son for 18 months now. Over this time, he has been able to move beyond his traumatic experience of high-school - with its consequent effect of rock-bottom educational self-esteem - to becoming a resilient young man who is now taking his GCSEs as an independent candidate. Tammy also recently stepped in as maths teacher when my son's tutor was on maternity leave. This meant he had continuity and minimal disruption at a crucial time. Working with Tammy has been transformative for both my son's learning and for his confidence, and we can't thank Tammy enough!

Tammy has been an absolutely fantastic tutor for my son. He has ADHD and works with her for two hours each week — one hour of English and one hour of maths — and he has made great progress. Her sessions support and reinforce what he is learning at school, and she takes the time to ensure he fully understands each topic before moving on. The communication and feedback she provides are outstanding — always thorough, personalised, and incredibly helpful for us as parents. We feel fully informed about his progress and how best to support him at home. Most importantly, my son feels very comfortable with Tammy. She creates a calm, supportive environment where he feels understood and encouraged, and this has had a huge impact on his confidence in class. He is now far more engaged with his learning and approaches schoolwork with a much more positive attitude.

Tammy has been brilliant for my daughter who is desperate to get her level 4 this summer. My daughter is much more confident with her maths now and I would highly recommend Tammy as a tutor. She is highly efficient with her planning and gives detailed feedback after every session. Thankyou Tammy!
