Tammi Ajayi

I have a Master’s degree in Sociology and an undergraduate with honours in English language, linguistics and social sciences. I have taught English for 6 years in the classroom with 240 hours in English as a foreign language and academic/business English. Due to my background in phonetics, I am a master at the sounds in English. Get ready to master your language skills with me!
Due to the online element of my lessons I was introduced to a plethora of resources that heightened interactivity in lessons whilst sustaining engagement with my assigned student. My experience in teaching secondary Drama and English allowed me to explore role plays, listening to podcasts and include necessary scaffolds while also introducing the idea of expanding vocabulary to the student. In these, practice was encouraged after learning the often tricky grammar rules (numerous exceptions that student had to get their head around).
All in all sessions were are by students and myself due to understanding the necessary steps that needed to be taken in mastering the target language in both written and spoken form.
