My lessons are personalised to each child's learning style and ability, helping them build confidence while developing a strong understanding of maths. I create a friendly, patient, and encouraging environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

Each lesson includes clear explanations, worked examples, and plenty of practice through worksheets, activities, and age-appropriate problem-solving tasks. I adapt my teaching to suit each student, whether they need help with basic number skills, times tables, fractions, problem solving, or preparing for school assessments.

I have previous experience tutoring children in maths and enjoy making lessons engaging, interactive, and easy to understand. My aim is to help every student grow in confidence, improve their skills, and develop a positive attitude towards maths.

I believe every child learns differently, so I adjust my teaching methods to suit their individual needs and pace. I regularly review previous topics to reinforce understanding before introducing new concepts, helping students retain what they have learned over time. I encourage children to explain their thinking and work through problems independently, offering guidance whenever needed. I also provide regular feedback on progress and, where appropriate, suggest areas for additional practice outside of lessons. My priority is to ensure every student leaves each session feeling more confident, motivated, and capable than when they arrived, while making maths an enjoyable and rewarding subject to learn.

Having previously tutored children privately, I understand the importance of building a positive relationship with each student. I take the time to understand their strengths, identify areas they find challenging, and tailor lessons to help them make steady progress. I know that confidence plays a huge role in learning maths, so I celebrate improvements, no matter how small, and encourage students to keep trying when they find a topic difficult.

For Year 6 students, I can also provide support with SATs preparation by practising arithmetic, reasoning, and problem-solving questions while teaching effective strategies for approaching different question types. I aim to ensure students not only improve their mathematical ability but also feel calm, confident, and well prepared for their assessments. Whether lessons are online or in person, I strive to make every session organised, engaging, and focused on helping each child reach their full potential.
