Sweta Padhi

I’m a friendly and approachable Maths tutor offering support to both GCSE and primary school students. I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths and am currently working at an A in A-level Maths, so I understand the subject well, but I also understand that Maths doesn’t always feel easy or enjoyable!

I know how frustrating it can be when you understand something one day and then see a slightly different question in an exam and suddenly have no idea where to start. That’s why my lessons focus on breaking questions down into simple, manageable steps rather than making students feel overwhelmed.

I adapt my teaching to each student’s needs. Whether you need help understanding the basics, catching up on topics, building confidence, preparing for exams or pushing towards higher grades, I will make sure lessons are suited to your individual pace and ability.

For GCSE students, I can help with areas including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, graphs, number and problem-solving, as well as exam-style questions and techniques for gaining marks. For primary students, I aim to make Maths engaging while building strong foundations and confidence.

I’m patient, encouraging and genuinely want students to feel comfortable asking questions, even if they think they are “stupid” questions. I believe making mistakes is a normal and important part of learning.

My goal is to help students improve their grades while also making Maths feel less stressful, more understandable and, hopefully, a little more enjoyable!
