I studied Spanish in my undergrad and fell in love with it, subsequently spending a year on Erasmus in Seville and going on to live and study through Spanish in later life.
I lived in Santiago de Compostela for 3 years, teaching in the University of La Coruña. In that time, I completed the superior DELE exam at the Instituto de Cervantes and successfully passed a postgrad diploma in International Cooperation through Spanish. I subsequently lived in Peru for a year, and worked in Argentina and Colombia. I am a social researcher by profession, but have taught private language lessons in English and Spanish language throughout my career.
I take a student-centred approach to teaching, encouraging students to take ownership of the language learning needs. I have a conversational style, believe in verbal practice to reinforce written learning, and use games and scenarios to promote learning.
I look forward to practicing this beautiful langauge together!
