My lessons are structured, interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I start by identifying areas they find difficult, then break down topics into simple, clear explanations to build strong understanding. Each session includes active recall, practice questions, and exam-style techniques to help students apply what they’ve learned effectively.

I create a supportive and relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Having achieved a Grade 6–7 in Combined Science, I understand the GCSE curriculum and common challenges students face, allowing me to explain concepts in a relatable and easy-to-understand way.

Each lesson follows a clear format: a quick recap of previous topics using active recall, introduction of new content, guided practice, and then independent exam-style questions. I place a strong focus on exam technique, helping students understand how to approach different question types, manage their time, and maximise marks using mark scheme language.

I also regularly use past paper questions to build confidence and track progress over time. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and adaptable, meaning I adjust the pace depending on the student’s comfort level. I aim to create a positive learning environment where mistakes are seen as part of progress, helping students build both confidence and long-term academic success.

Additionally, I can help with revision planning, homework support, and preparing for mock exams. I encourage students to stay consistent and organised, giving them strategies they can use independently outside of lessons. My goal is not only to help students achieve better grades, but also to build their confidence in science and develop skills that will support them throughout their education.
