I am a fully qualified teacher of English as a foreign language and have taught English as a second language in many countries with The British Council, CFBT and international colleges for over 20 years. I am a specialist in IELTS preparation, being an ex-examiner and have taught Business English and general English at all levels over the years. Recently I have taught 1 to 1 online classes for the last 2 years.
I like to find out the needs and interest and cultural background of my students so I can adapt the lessons to reflect this. I use a task-based learning style which incorporates all the key skills of learning English, reading writing, listening and speaking in order for the learner to achieve the task. I also combine this with input and exercises on pronunciation, vocab and grammar. I make my lessons fun and entertaining and use a variety of materials such as worksheets, course books, videos, songs and games. All materials are given to the students after the lesson in order for them to review and practice their skills. I am sure I can help you achieve your English language learning goals.
