Lessons begin with introductions for the day using English only with the extent and variety of introductions relevant to the level of the student.
The aim of habitually beginning the lesson with a variety of introductions is for the student to become relaxed and confident in the use of English before moving on to the main objective and aims of the lesson.
The lesson will be a mixture of repetition to assess learning from the previous lesson followed by any corrections, if necessary, Any necessary corrections will be noted and fed-back for the student to further revision before the next lesson..
There will be a multi media introduction to the topic of the day's lesson using images and texts, adapted to the level of the student. The student will send me the topic of interest before the lesson so that the theme can be prepared and focussed towards the student's aims.
All vocabulary, grammar and themes for the lessons will involve some form of scaffolding technique to encourage supported extended learning. This approach will be closely adjusted to real life and native/practical speaking communication to promote confident fluency.
